| Unlike the entry procession,
there is nothing particular to consider for the finale. You can exit to
gentle music or a wall of sound! There is no time deadline, so length is
almost irrelevant.
The very traditional Mendelssohn is still appropriate and never sounds dated (if played crisply on a decent, responsive pipe organ): it seems to say everything that a joyful finale should say. Here are some suggestions of pieces that work well on most organs: - |
