Summer 2003
I was invited to do some session work in the south of France this summer, so, on 28th July we flew to Paris, then on to Marseille to have fun.

The fabulous EMI TG 12345 desk at Vega - actually used by the Rolling Stones back in the 1970's to record two of their albums (when the desk was housed at Pathé Marconi Studios in Paris.

Job #1 was to help on a day of production [of a demo single] at Vega Studio, Carpentras (Provence). Vega uses a superb EMI desk (the sort of thing that you see in the Beatles / Abbey Road documentaries).

An array of the finest microphones at Vega.

Job #2 was to play a flute track to complete another demo single. This was in another location, -MGO Studio, in Avignon. Having plenty of time to work with the composer outside of the studio cut recording time to a minimum on the big day. Great fun, and mission accomplished successfully!
